How are appointments conducted? What is the structure?

Appointments are conducted via telehealth and may be either done by confidential, HIPAA-compliant phone or videoconference.  

The structure of our work will be determined based on what works best for you and your unique problems.  I offer a complimentary 15 minute initial consultation.  During that time, we can discuss your your questions or concerns and collaboratively decide how to proceed. Some circumstances may benefit from one full-length, 45 minute appointment, while others may warrant regular meetings or a longer time-frame. A potential component of the consultation may include review of assessments, health records, or other relevant documents.

What are your fees?  

Fees are dependent on type and duration of service.  A complimentary 15 minute initial consultation is available for all services.  Individual consultations are $150 per 45 minute session.  Group rates vary based on participation and are based on $200 per hour session.  Rates for other services including professional consultation, supervision, and record review vary based on the scope of service . All major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) are accepted. Some people may have the option to pay for services with their Health Savings Account.  Payment is made electronically and is due at time of service.  

Do you accept insurance?

I am not in-network with any insurance companies.  However, many insurance plans provide coverage for my services through out-of-network benefits. This means that you are responsible for the fee at the time of our appointment, but your insurance company may provide reimbursement for a portion of the fee.  I can provide you with documentation to submit to your insurance company to file for reimbursement.  I encourage you to inquire with your insurance company about out-of-network benefits.

What geographical areas do you serve?

Conducting appointments through telehealth allows for geographical flexibility.  I am a licensed provider in New York State, which means that I am authorized to provide clinical individuals anywhere in New York.  Professional consultation is not restricted by location.
