It is okay if sometimes your kids need a “motivational jumpstart” to get them to engage in a task or activity. Especially if it is new or might be perceived as hard or a little scary. Ideally you will be able to pull back on this once you have established a new routine or expectation, or your child has acclimated to the activity, but sometimes you need to do what you need to to help them over that hump.
