Support Guidelines for Tough Times


“Love in, dump out.” Consider this when looking to support someone suffering a loss. There is a lot of collective trauma right now, both pandemic-related and racial justice-related. People are impacted at different levels and in different ways. Give love and support to those closer to the center of the trauma. Unless you are also at the center, don’t put the burden of your your personal needs here. Instead, seek love and support from people who have more distance than you do.
